The Journal of Medical Nutrition and Nutraceuticals (JMNN) is the first peer- renewed multi-specialty international journal to focus on the medical aspects of nutrition and nutraceutical therapy in various health and desease states.
The JMNN is published twice a year on behalf of ALLIANCE, the ALL-India panel for rAtional usage of Nutraceuticals in disEase management. It hopes to spearhead a movement for rational and evidence-based usage of nutrition-related therapy in medical science.
It will feature editorials, reviews, original articles, brief communications and letters related to medical nutrition and nutraceutical use in prevention and management of disease.

Digital Archiving
Wolters Kluwer Medknow provides for long-term digital preservation through two primary partnerships, Portico and CLOCKSS.
Portico is a leading digital preservation service worldwide. The content is preserved as an archival version and is not publically accessible via Portico, but is provided when required under specific conditions, such as discontinuation of the collection or catastrophic failure of the website.
CLOCKSS will enable any library to maintain their own archive of content from Wolters Kluwer Medknow and other publishers, with minimal technical effort and using cheaply available hardware.
Ahead of Print policy
Articles published online under the Ahead of Print model are considered published and can be cited and quoted using the DOI as the reference source. Wolters Kluwer Medknow has a policy that changes will not be made after publication of an article without following accepted procedures for making corrections to the scientific record.
Advertisements
While advertisements are crucial to this journal to be able to keep all content free for everyone, ethical considerations are in place to ensure the integrity of the journal and its content:
- "Pop-up" and "banner" ads appear on a random, rotating basis. The advertiser has no control or input over the pages where their ads appear.
- The Editorial Board has full and final approval over the content of all advertisements.
- Advertisers will never be shown any manuscripts or other content prior to publication.
ALLIANCE: ALL-India panel for rAtionale usage of NutraceutiCals in disEase management
ALLIANCE is a panel of experts on nutraceuticals, consisting of renowned Endocrinologists, Andrologists, Gynaecologists and medical specialists, which has started in 2009-10.
ALLIANCE was introduced with an objective of rationalising & establishing the role evidence based-nutritional therapy in various therapy areas such as pregnancy, infertility, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, UTIs.
Currently ALLIANCE has more than 25 panel members from across India and internationally and is gradually expanding its horizon by including more specialists.
ALLIANCE has already contributed to the field of nutraceuticals through CONGRUENT Guidelines - CONsensus Guidelines for Rational UsE of Nutraceuticals in male subferTility, which were published in ICE, Japan in March, 2010. Another ongoing project is a double blind, randomised, controlled, multicentre clinical trial for PATERNIA in male subfertility. The panel is also working on framing Indian consensus guidelines on recurrent UTIs management.
